Grandpa's Collection

Grandpa's Collection
Grandpa was a collector. He collected just about everything. When it was finally time to clean out his house, you found action figures, arrowheads, baseball cards, bird figurines, books, bottle caps, coins, comic books, feathers, keys, lighters, marbles, nests, patches, Pez dispensers, playing cards, pogs, power line insulators, rocks, sea shells, shot glasses, snakeskins, spoons, stamps, toy cars, and vinyl records. Perhaps the only thing he deliberately chose not to collect was Beanie Babies.

Grandpa wasn't a hoarder. He was happy to throw out junk. But he didn't consider the things he collected to be junk. When you were a kid, he would regale you for hours, talking about the different items from one of his collections. Grandma never understood why he kept so much "useless stuff". But you do. He loved every one of those things almost as much as he loved you.
